Join the Emerging Leaders of People’s Emergency Center for the inaugural Eat Dessert First, presented by PECO, featuring delectable delights from some of the region’s leading and up-and-coming pastry chefs!
The 3-hour event will showcase one of the reason’s The New York Times named Philadelphia a top culinary city. Restaurants include: Affinity Baking, The Capital Grille, Desserts by Dana, Garces Group, Zavino’s, Victory Brewing Company, and more!
Every year, 1,000 children spend a night in an emergency shelter in Philadelphia. Last year, People’s Emergency Center (PEC) housed 288 of these children and their mothers. Through a community of more than 250 housing units and an array of job training, financial literacy, child care, parenting/early childhood education, and technology coursework, PEC seeks to change the life trajectory for the women and children who seek its services and inspire them to aspire to new heights.
